ALF (AFOO LIBERATION FORUM) ENDORSE DAPO ABIODUN FOR 2ND TERM, UNVEILS AFUAPE FOR HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.

In a carnival like event that took place at the Skating Ground, Panseke, Abeokuta on Thursday 17th March 2022, the Afoo Liberation Forum, a political offshoot of Hon. Afolabi Moruf Afuape, endorse the 2nd Term Agenda of the Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and as well renewed their call to Afuape to contest the Abeokuta South Federal Constituency Seat in the National Assembly.

In his speech, the groups Chairman, Comrade Waheed Amerinso, said the governor had done so much to deserve a second term. He sighted various infrastructural renewal across the State, and appealed to the people to support the governor to enable him complete the good work he has embarked on.

Dignitaries who graced the occasion include, the Party State Treasurer, Chief Sunday Sowunmi, The Party Local Government Chairman, Mr Adetunji Fagbenro, the former State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Titi Oseni Gomez, Hon. (Mrs) Funmi Efuwape, Commissioner for Women Affairs, Barr. Babafemi Ogunbanwo, Commissioner for Special Duties, the Local government Chairman, Omolaja Majekodunmi, and a host of others.

In his response, after the unveiling of the Prince Dapo Abiodun for 2nd Term Banner, the groups Principal, Hon Afolabi Afuape, described the governor as God sent to Ogun State. He expressed his gratitude to the governor for the opportunity of serving under him. He went ahead to enumerate the various projects the governor has completed in Abeokuta South Local Government to include Panseke-Obada Road, Fajol-Gbonogun-Odo Eran interconnecting Road, Kemta Idi-Aba-Somorin Road, Kemta And Kobape Housing Estates, the completed Kuto flyover, and therefore concluded that the governor deserves a 2nd Term.

While answering questions from journalists present, if the occasion was a grand design to declare his ambition to contest for the House of Representatives, Afuape replied that his ambition is secondary, and that the Afoo Liberation Forum organised the event to declare their support for the people’s governor. He said if God so will that he contests, he will inform the general public at the appropriate time.

Speaking at the occasion, several dignitaries attest to the vision, capacity and integrity of Hon. Afuape, and therefore concluded that he is the man to be trusted with the people’s votes. He was described as one who doesn’t fail promises, and will not let the people down.
